This Race was delayed to allow sufficient time for the track to be harrowed between races. RUBY SLIPPERS lost two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. TEETOTAL jumped awkwardly losing one length. LADY SECRET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Bosch was questioned with regard to the improved performance of LADY SECRET compared to this filly's previous performance on the 21 August 2019. Trainer Bosch explained that in this filly's previous run, she was squeezed out and lost position shortly after the start which was confirmed in the Stipes' Report and when the patrol video was reviewed. This filly, in his opinion, then resented the kick back when racing at the rear of the field. Mr Bosch was of the opinion that LADY SECRET is better suited racing from a handy position and he further stated that the weaker field of today's Race had contributed to the improvement shown. His explanations were noted. WESTERN PATH and SLOANE RANGER over-raced in the early stages. STORM TUNE ducked outwards brushing ARRABIATA entering the straight. LADY SECRET was hanging out throughout. In view of the performance of BLACK BEAUTY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Dillon reported that he felt something amiss with RUBY SLIPPERS post race. Vet: BLACK BEAUTY - nothing obvious detected. RUBY SLIPPERS - not striding out right hind. Scratched: DANCE TEAM - elevated temperature.
