The start of this Race was slightly delayed due to PHILAE proving difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led from the 1500 metre mark. Assistant Trainer Forster appeared before the Board and was advised to re-school PHILAE in the starting stalls, as well as having a lead pony accompany this filly to the start in the near future. DAWN CALLING was slow into stride losing one length. EKTIFAA (AUS) was slow into stride. PHILAE was restless in the stalls. GIMME SIX was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PHILAE was restless in the stalls, threw her head down as the start was effected, resulting in the handler having a hold of this filly when the gates opened thereby impeding her. Following a race review of the start, PHILAE was declared a non-runner. DAWN CALLING raced wide on the latter part of the bend and into the straight. In view of the performances of A WOMENS WAY and THE HIGH LIFE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. Vet: A WOMENS WAY and THE HIGH LIFE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: PHILAE - declared a non-runner.
