THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start for all runners. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TEICHMAN (W Kennedy) and JUSTFORTHEEPENNY (L Hewitson) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) In the concluding stages, BANJO ON MY KNEE (M V'Rensburg) which was hanging in from the 400m, was awkwardly placed on the outside of TEICHMAN (W Kennedy) which shifted in away from the crop at the 200m and rolled out at the 150m. Thereafter, BRIGADE (*T Gumede) and BANJO ON MY KNEE (M V'Rensburg) came together and brushed shortly before the finish. c) Apprentice J Gates reported that STORM RULER (14.85 lengths) took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with BANJO ON MY KNEE (6.45 lengths) in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) GENTLEMAN'S WAGER (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P Lunn acting on behalf of Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) STORM RULER raced without blinkers (advised 17.09.20/7h00). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) BRIGADE : The colours should read:- pink & purple halved vertically, halved sleeves, quartered cap.
