Apprentice Hewitson (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. He was replaced on his mounts. TALK WRENCH, broke through the front gate, was restrained by the rider, returned to the start, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. The starting stalls certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to TALK WRENCH, this colt was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. TALK WRENCH may not be presented for repassing during this period. TALK WRENCH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Storey reported that WARAI changed strides continually in running. WINGS N THINGS was hanging in from the 300m. WARAI raced with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind.
