The start of this Race was delayed due to ALLY WHOOPEE proving difficult in the chute, which delayed the balance of the field leaving the parade ring. ON THE BOUNCE stood losing two lengths. MERYL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Naidoo appeared before the Board with regard to ALLY WHOOPEE proving difficult proceeding to the start (chute) and was advised that should this filly prove difficult proceeding to the start in future, she may be suspended. ALLY WHOOPEE over-raced in the early stages. QUERARI STAR raced green, and shifted out from the crop at approximately the 150 metre mark. MELONY raced green. In view of the performance of CORK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: CORK - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: EXQUISITE EIGHT - pulled muscle left hind. ROY'S NOVICE (AUS) - hoof abscess left fore.
