THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAMOAN (S Brown), LAZY GUY (D Schwarz), MEGAMALL (B Nyawo) and SAN ANDREAS (R Danielson) were slow losing one length. b) HURRICANE HEDLEY (R Simons) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with JUBILEE in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey D Schwarz reported that LAZY GUY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Shortly before the finish line, Jockey R Simons (HURRICANE HEDLEY) lost the footing to his left side stirrup iron, this precluded him from fully riding this colt out to the end of the race. d) BANGOR NIGHT (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer H van der Westhuizen advised (AH). e) SAN ANDREAS (R Danielson), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (DR). f) Jockey R Danielson signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse SAN ANDREAS more than twelve times in the entire race. The Board imposed a fine of R1000. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BANGOR NIGHT raced unshod (declared 16 September 2020 at 13H54). b) MEGAMALL raced equipped with blinkers (declared 21 September 2020 at 09H47). c) SAN ANDREAS raced with a tongue tie on and without blinkers (declared 22 September 2020 at 07H22). d) REGGAE ROCKS is a gelding. Gelded 05/11/2019. To be investigated. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) JUBILEE not striding out left front. b) LAZY GUY not striding out. c) MEGAMALL mouth injury. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
