SUPRISE MOVE (AUS) was slow into stride. WATCH MY DUST lost one length. Shortly before the finish line, SPICE QUEEN, which rolled out, was bumped inwards by SUPRISE MOVE (AUS), which shifted in away from the crop. Thereafter SPICE QUEEN bumped KINGS CREEK, which became unbalanced. As a consequence of this, SPICE QUEEN also became unbalanced. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board, which was followed by Objections being lodged by Trainer Peter on behalf of the 3rd placed horse, SPICE QUEEN, against the 1st placed horse, SUPRISE MOVE (AUS), and the 2nd placed horse, KINGS CREEK, on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. A further Objection was lodged by Jockey Yeni, on behalf of the 2nd placed horse, KINGS CREEK, against the winner, SUPRISE MOVE (AUS), on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections of all three horses involved and taking into consideration the proximity to the finish line and the position of the horses relative to each other when the incident occurred, could not be satisfied that the result had been affected and therefore overruled the objections and allowed the Judges result to stand. Trainer Peter and Jockey Yeni's deposits were refunded. An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey Khumalo's riding in the concluding stages. SUPRISE MOVE (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
