SILVER ROCK jumped awkwardly outwards was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. KLOPP was restless in the stalls. RHINESTONE KID raced wide on the bend and into the straight. ORATIO was hanging in, in the straight. Leaving the 200m, CYBER LAW was forced to ease off the heels of ENDOFMARCH, which had shifted in away from the crop. Jockey Cheyne, the rider of CYBER LAW, called for a race review and after reviewing the patrols films and taking into account the distance between the two horses at the finish decided to take no further action. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of ENDOFMARCH, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CYBER LAW when he shifted in away from the crop leaving the 200m. Jockey van Niekerk signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. Jockey Domeyer, the rider of BEN-HUR, dropped his crop at about the 250m.
