THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVER DAZZLE (G Wright), RETAIL THERAPY (R Danielson), MISS CHARLOTTE (*K Strydom) and SOMEONE EXCITING (L Hewitson) lost 1 length, respectively. b) VASE (*T Gumede) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 400m and the 300m, SOMEWHERE IN TIME (A Marcus) which was hanging in from the 400m, was brushed out on at least 2 occasions by FIRST SIGHTING (*J Jacobs) which rolled out. b) In the concluding stages, RETAIL THERAPY (R Danielson) and SILVER DAZZLE (G Wright) came together and bumped. c) In view of the performance of SOMEWHERE IN TIME (A Marcus) (4.05 lengths, 4/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Stable Employee M Trott acting on behalf of Trainer S J Snaith was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. d) Jockey R Danielson reported that RETAIL THERAPY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running.
