Apprentice De Gouveia and Jockey van der Merwe did not ride at today's meeting due to being medically indisposed. Jockey Lerena submitted a letter of clearance from the British Horseracing Authority. The start of this Race was delayed due to the starting stalls having to be re-positioned. GREEN ICE and ROY'S NOVICE (AUS) lost one length. MERYL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MAR DEL SUR was cramped and eased momentarily on the inside of HOLLY'S VISION approaching the 1200 metre mark. CODE WRITER was cramped and steadied near the 1200 metre mark. ROCKIN RUSSIAN shifted both ways from the crop over the final 150 metres. GREEN ICE was cramped and tightened on the inside of ROCKIN RUSSIAN shortly before the finish. Jockey Sturgeon, the rider of UNDER THE STARS, and Jockey Dillon, the rider of EASY PEASY, reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. In view of the performance of CODE WRITER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: CODE WRITER - nothing obvious detected. UNDER THE STARS - nothing obvious detected. EASY PEASY - not striding out right fore. Scratched: MIND YOUR BUSINESS - injured right fore fetlock.
