ROCKY VALLEY, AMAZON KING and ROY'S AIR FORCE were slow into stride. ROYAL AGREE lost one length. ROCKY VALLEY was restless in the stalls, removed and reloaded. OVER SURE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROYALSECURITYPOWER (AUS) was hanging in badly over the final 400 metres, difficult to assist and as a result was not persevered with over the final 200 metres. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Delpech, the rider of OVER SURE, accidentally dropped his right side rein approaching the 200 metre mark, which he regained shortly thereafter. FIRE THE ROCKET was baulked and switched out for a clear run approaching the 150 metre mark. Jockey Marcus reported ROCKY VALLEY faltered on a number of occasions in running. In view of the performance of STRUMMER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the Starter's report concerning ROCKY VALLEY, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. Vet: COUNT VON COUNT - Epistaxis, 60 days suspension. ROCKY VALLEY, ROYALSECURITYPOWER (AUS) and STRUMMER - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROY'S STRIKE FORCE and ROY'S TAXI - elevated temperature. ROY'S DONKEY (AUS) - cast in box. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
