After the consistent rainfall and in consultation with the Jockeys and the Course Manager the going was changed from good to soft. AYYALEH jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with A TIME TO THINK. WOODSTOCK FAIRY jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with SUMMER OLIMPICS. SEATTLE SILVA reared in the stalls. Jockey Behr reported that BRING ME MORE (AUS) did not act in the soft underfoot conditions. Leaving the 200m, TIME TO THINK rolled in and brushed SEATLE SILVA onto BALLROOM DANCE. Approaching the 50m, BALLROOM DANCE became cramped for galloping room and had to ease and SEATLE SILVA was forced to check severely for a number of strides when WOODSTOCK FAIRY shifted out. The Board called for a race review and after reviewing the patrol films took no further actions. Apprentice Balloo, the rider of WOODSTOCK FAIRY, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SEATLE SILVA and BALLROOM DANCE in the latter stages. Apprentice Balloo signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. TIME TO THINK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
