SPECTRA FORCE jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with MANHATTAN ICE. TWO BROTHERS and FUJIN made contact leaving the stalls. In view of the performances from TWO BROTHERS and CYBER LAW, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. LANCER was hanging in and was difficult to assist in the straight. DREAMING BIG was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. After the running of this race the Jockeys lodged a protest and a panel consisting of two jockeys, two trainers, the track manager, the Veterinary Surgeon and the Stewards heard evidence from all parties concerned. The Panel agreed to continue racing, however the majority of Jockeys were adamant that the conditions had deteriorated and that the track was unsafe. In consultation with the Race Meeting representative a decision was made to abandon the remainder of the race meeting. Vet: TWO BROTHERS and CYBER LAW - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
