When questioned regarding his ride on NO MORE WORDS in the concluding stages, Jockey Delpech explained to the Board that with approximately 50m to run this filly had shortened her stride, had dug her toes in and hesitated, as she was nervous of the shadow being cast across the track by the tote board. He had his crop drawn in his right hand, however, NO MORE WORDS had given him the indication that she may duck out, and therefore he had put his crop away and encouraged her with a hand ride. MRS O was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: INDIAN STATE - speedy cut right hind.
