The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delays and to allow for the lead horses to be taken off the course. MR O'NEILL lost one length. MR WINSOME was stubborn to load and thereafter lost one length. Trainer Kannemeyer was advised to re-school this gelding. MR WINSOME and SUN ON AFRICA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CAPTAIN SPLENDID over-raced in the early stages. Jockey Byleveld reported THREE BALLOONS took no interest in running. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that he felt something amiss with OVIDIO (AUS) over the final 800 metres of the race. MR WINSOME was carried out by SUN ON AFRICA for a short distance approaching the 100 metre mark. Vet: THREE BALLOONS - nothing obvious detected. OVIDIO (AUS) - not striding out right fore. Scratched: TECHNO CAPTAIN - elevated temperature.
