NAKED TRUTH was very stubborn to load. SILENT OBSESSION was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Forbes reported MOJO KING refused to gallop. In view of the performance of ON GOSSAMER WINGS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Shortly after the start, FESTIVAL STAR was awkwardly placed on the inside of CORAL LIGHTS and became cramped and faltered. This incident is to be reviewed by the Board. At approximately the 550 metre mark, DRAGONWOOD, who was tiring badly, became cramped on the inside running rail and was forced to ease. Thereafter at approximately the 500 metre mark, CORAL LIGHTS shifted in slightly, which resulted in MAGIC MIST, who had improved to the outside of DRAGON WOOD, being carried inwards, which caused the tiring DRAGONWOOD to become severely cramped on the inside running rail, losing position. DRAGONWOOD raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. Jockey Kennedy replaced Jockey van Rensburg on CORAL LIGHTS with the Stipes permission due to flight booking complications. CORAL LIGHTS raced equipped with pacifiers. Vet: MOJO KING - nothing obvious detected. ON GOSSAMER WINGS - not striding out left fore. Scratched: TOWER and MAGESH'S JET - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
