SEVENTH RULE broke through the front gate and was immediately restrained and returned to the start, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded, causing a delay. ALL IN ALI and COUNT NU jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter were slow into stride. ELECTRO CAT was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. GREY HALO and SUNBLITZ were restless in the stalls. In view of the above report from the Starter concerning SEVENTH RULE, Trainer Sands will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to its next engagement. COUNT NU, which raced green, was hanging in and difficult to assist. At about the 300m, Apprentice Bantam, the rider of GREY HALO, momentarily dropped his right side rein. LOVE TO FLY and HERODUS were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SEVENTH RULE - checked at the start after breaking through the front gate and declared fit to race, inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. ELECTRO CAT - returned having lost the left hind shoe. LOVE TO FLY - returned with a mouth injury. Scratched: JOHNNY BLACK - coughing.
