READY SET GO jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. QUIPPI jumped awkwardly inwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey van der Hoven reported that he felt something amiss with TRIPINTHEMIST in running. In view of the performance from MY EMBLEM, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. READY SET GO was forced to ease momentarily when tightened for galloping room at about the 300m. Approaching the 250m, GOLDEN PASS and MIDTOWN MANHATTAN were carried in for a number of strides by SECRETARIAT'S GIRL, which shifted in sharply and had to be straightened. In the latter stages, SUNSHINE LADY which was hanging out made contact with ESSENCEOFLIFE and was turned outwards slightly. This resulted in SUNSHINE LADY and ESSENCEOFLIFE making contact on two occasions shortly before the finish. Jockey Zechner appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to straighten his mount in races. READY SET GO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TRIPINTHEMIST - returned not striding out. MY EMBLEM - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
