Due to the late scratching of BOLD COAST, who was the tote favourite, the starting time of this Race was rescheduled to allow the betting public time to restructure their bets. KEEP ON FLYING lost three lengths. Trainer Francis was advised to re-school this gelding prior to his next engagement. DAYTONA CHARGER was slow into stride. ROCKY STALLONE jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Apprentice Bantam reported that DAYTONA CHARGER did not stride out freely in running. Leaving the 400m, ROCKY STALLONE, which rolled out, was unbalanced when bumped by URBAN MYTH, which was carried in marginally by VAR'S YOUR DADDY, which was hanging in. The Board review this incident and was satisfied that no blame could be apportioned to any individual rider and therefore took no further action. Leaving the 200m, VAR'S YOUR DADDY and PATRIC came together and brushed. At approximately the 200m, Apprentice Lerena, the rider of KEEP ON FLYING, dropped his right side rein. VAR'S YOUR DADDY and PATRIC were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HIGHLANDER raced with a tongue tie on. ROCKY STALLONE raced in the Colours of Messrs P J, N, R & Miss S Delport: Yellow, black seams, black cap, yellow spots sold with engagements. Vet: DAYTONA CHARGER - not striding out both front and abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: BOLD COAST - not striding out right front.
