The start of the 9th Race was delayed due the feature race presentations after Race 8. DOUBLE CLUTCH was slow into stride. HYAKU was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Veale signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of SMART WORLD, he was unable to weigh out at the carded weight as confirmed in his engagement with the trainer resulting in a change of rider. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
