Due to the starting stalls being faulty throughout the day, especially starting stall #6, the Stipendiary Board granted a request by all jockeys and trainers that starting stall #6 be left vacant for the remainder of today's race meeting. ROMAN DISCENT was hanging in from the 200 metre mark. Trainer Bronkorst appeared before Stipendiary Board and was questioned into the improved running of COMANCHE BRAVE. She said that on the 3th June 2017, all of her runners including COMANCHE BRAVE, performed badly and she had no other explanation. Trainer Amy Bronkhorst's explanation was noted, and she was reminded about the rule pertaining to inconsistent running. COMANCHE BRAVE and ASHTON PARK were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SUPER GOOD - examined post race and nothing untoward was found.
