During the loading process, the front gates of the starting stalls opened for no apparent reason resulting in SEVEN SOVEREIGNS bolting the course and subsequently being withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. SINGASWEWIN and THE GREAT DUCHESS were restrained by their riders, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. SOUND CLOUD and KING OF THE DELTA were slow into stride. SINGASWEWIN reared in the stalls. FAST AND LOUD was hanging in from the 200m. YAAS and KING OF THE DELTA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Stipendiary Board questioned both the Starter and the Assistant Starter as to the circumstances which lead to the starting stall gates opening prematurely, and no explanation could be put forward. THE TRIOKA raced with a tongue tie on. FAST AND LOUD is a gelding, to be investigated. Vet: FAST AND LOUD - Epistaxis, 60 day suspension. Scratched: SEVEN SOVEREIGNS - bolted the course.
