PRINCESS OF PEARLS was slow into stride. Shortly after the start, SOMNIUM stumbled badly dislodging Jockey van Rensburg. A race review was called into the start of this race regarding SOMIUM in stall gate 2. After viewing the patrol films of the start, the Board established that the starting stall gates had opened timeously, she was not impeded by a Handler and therefore declared this filly to be a runner. In the concluding stages, MOLLY PITCHER had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of the loose horse SOMNIUM. As a consequence of this, Jockey Agrella was unable to fully assist his mount to the end of the race. Jockey Marwing reported that SEATTLE SERENADE did not stride out freely in running. FRENCH FOLIE and MOLLY PITCHER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SEATTLE SERENADE raced equipped with alumites in front, unshod behind and raced without blinkers. Vet: SEATTLE SERENADE - coughing and not striding out left front.
