FONTEYN, QUEENS CHAPEL and PALACE MYSTERY were slow into stride. LIBERTY MARKET lost one length. SERAPHIC lost two lengths. ROY'S ZARA (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HONEYMOON COVE was over-racing in the early and middle stages. At the 700 metre mark, HONEYMOON COVE clipped the heels of ROY'S ZARA (AUS), stumbled badly and fell, dislodging Apprentice Sakayi. FONTEYN made contact with the fallen HONEYMOON COVE, lost his footing and fell, dislodging Jockey Byleveld. LIBERTY MARKET, attempted to avoid the fallen horses, which resulted in Jockey Kennedy being unseated. The Board having viewed the patrol videos of the above incident, was of the opinion that this was a racing incident and not caused by a riding offence by any rider. RAPUNZEL raced with cheek pieces. Vet: LIBERTY MARKET - speedy cut right hind coronet. HONEYMOON COVE - cuts and abrasions and not striding out left hind. ROY'S ZARA - cut into right hind. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Kennedy stood down after the running of this Race with an injured left knee and bruised right elbow. Referred for X-Rays. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Byleveld stood down after the running of this Race with an injured left knee and right thumb. Referred for X-Rays. The Medical Officer reported that Apprentice Sakayi stood down after the running of this Race with an injured right ankle. Referred for X-Rays.
