HYPERACTIVE refused to load and was subsequently withdrawn by the Starter. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. VIDICH lost 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to HYPERACTIVE, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls. HYPERACTIVE may not be presented for repassing during this period. Jockey Zackey, the rider of SURF'S UP, Jockey Khumalo, the rider of WATER LILY LAKE, and Jockey Zechner, the rider of ROBERTA'S PASSION, reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. SURF'S UP was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding the improved performance of SURF'S UP, Assistant Trainer Spies explained to the Board that this gelding ran in Kimberley on 10 July 2017 and did not enjoy the sand surface. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out Running. Vet: SURF'S UP - not striding out left front. WATER LILY LAKE - not striding out right front. ROBERTA'S PASSION - lame right front. Scratched: HYPERACTIVE - refused to load.
