THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOLAR FLARE (*J Jacobs) was fractious in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. In light of this filly's non-history at the starting stalls, Assistant Trainer P Muscutt acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford was advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FLASHY KAITRINA (D Dillon) was hanging out from the 300m. b) At the 300m, MY WICKED WAYS (*M Zuma) was brushed out by FLAMING LASS (*T Gumede) which switched out to continue its run. c) CHERRY ROAD (W Kennedy) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of HOPSKIPANDJUMP (*K Strydom) (11.85 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) FLASHY KAITRINA (D Dillon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
