The start of this Race was delayed at the request of the Racing Operator. TIGER WARRIOR jumped outwards and squeezed out CAPE QUARTER. IN THE JUNGLE and RIVER CAM made contact leaving the stalls. DRAGON FLAME jumped outwards and as a result REDEEMER was carried outwards. In view of the performance from TIGER WARRIOR, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Approaching the 300m, RIVER CAM attempted to bite the hindquarters of DREAMING BIG. Trainer Mrs Bass-Robinson's attention was drawn to the gelding's racing manners, who has undertaken to change the equipment on RIVER CAM in an attempt to prevent a recurrence of this incident. CAPE QUARTER was baulked between the 50m to the finish. DRAGON FLAME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TIGER WARRIOR - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: BOBBY DAZZLER - no suitable jockey available. PERGOLA - urticaria. CHESTNUT WILD - lame on the left fore. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
