QUERARI STAR was restless in the stalls. DUSKY DANCER repeatedly kicked in the stalls, was removed, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. Thereafter DUSKY DANCER lost 1 length. Assistant Trainer Lunn advised to re-school this filly. A-ROD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. QUERARI STAR and SUZI WOO made contact shortly after the start. Thereafter SUZI WOO and QUERARI STAR made contact and were cramped. A-ROD shifted in near the 900 metre mark carrying AFRICAN DYNASTY inwards, resulting in AFRICAN DYNASTY brushing PATAGONIA, carrying PATAGONIA inwards and resulting in PATAGONIA clipping the heels of SHINDEAGEN and stumbling. Apprentice Schwarz signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of A-ROD, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his inside shortly after the start. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. SUZI WOO raced green, was hanging in throughout and was switched in to obtain a clear rum near the 250 metre mark, carrying PATAGONIA inwards slightly near the 150 metre mark. As a result, AFRICAN DYNASTY was steadied off the heels of PATAGONIA. PATAGONIA was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of AFRICAN DYNASTY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Sturgeon replaced Jockey de Melo on DUSKY DANCER. Jockey change due to public holiday and change of flight times. Vet: AFRICAN DYNASTY - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROSIE MY GIRL - lame right fore. The Course Farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed with the exception of PHOEBUS who was identified by means of a microchip number.
