BRITAIN'S BEST and RASTA'S JET were slow losing 1 length. Approaching the 400m, SILVERDREAMMACHINE was forced to ease and switch inwards when ANTARCTICA, which was hanging out, shifted out. The Stewards reviewed the patrol films of this incident, and were satisfied that ANTARCTICA was proving difficult to assist and that Jockey van Rensburg had taken all reasonable measures in an attempt to prevent this incident. Jockey Brown reported that he felt something amiss with NIGHT OWL in running. In view of the performance of BRITAIN'S BEST, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. BUNCH OF THYME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GEORGIA MAY raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: NIGHT OUT - lame left front. Indefinite suspension for a full veterinary report. BRITAIN'S BEST - examined post race, no significant findings. GEORGIA MAY - was examined post race at the request of Stable Employee Oosthuizen and nothing obvious was detected.
