Jockey van Rensburg did not ride at today's meeting (medically indisposed). Apprentice Arries did not ride at today's meeting (medically indisposed). Jockey Randolph did not ride at today's meeting (medically indisposed). A clearance was submitted from the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club for all the apprentices riding in Race 10 at today's race meeting. Jockey Lerena submitted a clearance from the Mauritius Turf Club after riding there on the 24th June 2017. READ MY LIPS dislodged Jockey Daniels shortly after leaving the chute on to the track and cantered to the 1800 metre mark where he was secured, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. READ MY LIPS lost 1 length. ENCHANTED DRAWING was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MAJESTIC SWORD over-raced in the early stages and was hanging out throughout. AIR SALUTE and FLASHY LASS were hanging out in the final straight. MAGESH'S JET was switched in for a clear run near the 300 metre mark carrying FLASHY LASS inwards, resulting in AIR SALUTE being inconvenienced. ENCHANTED DRAWING and TOP CLASSMAN shifted outwards independently near the 200 metre mark. Jockey Delpech, the rider of TOP CLASSMAN, reviewed this incident and decided to take no further action. Apprentice Ngwane replaced Jockey de Melo on VICTORY CROSS.
