PANZA was stubborn and difficult to load. EFFORTLESS REWARD (AUS) and ISCA were slow into stride. ISCA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SWAKOPMUND jumped outwards making contact and carrying EFFORTLESS REWARD (AUS) outwards shortly after the start was effected. Apprentice Bantam reported MUSCATT took no interest in running. In view of the performance of GEOGRAPHE BAY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. ISCA was hanging out, shifted out resulting in PANZA being inconvenienced shortly before the finish. Apprentice Bantam, the rider of MUSCATT, appeared before the Board and was spoken to regarding the use of his crop in the latter stages. In view of the Starter's report concerning PANZA, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. Jockey Wright signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that, as the rider of LIL RED ROOSTER, he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out. Vet: MUSCATT - not striding out left hind. GEOGRAPHE BAY - nothing obvious detected.
