CAMPS BAY (G Cheyne) (Betting 12/1) through its head down, dislodged its rider and became lodged under the front gate, was attended to by the course veterinary surgeon and scratched, causing a delay. Stall gate 6 was damaged in this incident and was not used in this race and all runners were moved out two draw positions. I DID WHAT I DID (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls. In view of the report from the starter regarding CAMPS BAY (G Cheyne), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 07/10/2020 to 13/10/2020 inclusive). CAMPS BAY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Shortly after the start, FIGHTER (*J Solomons) was brushed outward by I DID WHAT I DID (R Fourie) which rolled out slightly. Leaving the 700m, QUE ES VAR (R Khathi) took an awkward stride after being checked off the heels of FIGHTER (*J Solomons) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice J Solomons was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of FIGHTER he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to QUE ES VAR leaving the 700m. Apprentice Solomons signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 07/10/2020 to 13/10/2020 inclusive) FIGHTER (*J Solomons) was hanging in in the straight. From the 200m, EMPIRE GLORY (*X Jacobs) raced in restricted galloping room between FORT RED (A Andrews) and ALPHA PAPPA (G Behr). Jockey R Khathi, the rider of QUE ES VAR, reported that this colt choked up in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine.
