LA TOURELLE was slow losing one length. YOUR WORSHIP was slow into stride. In view of the performance of MANOUCHE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. At approximately the 500, MYTHICAL RULE was awkwardly placed between MASTER RUNNER, which shifted out marginally and DOWNTOWN DANZA, which rolled in. MASTER RUNNER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Rugg was questioned regarding this geldings improved performance. He explained to the Board that this horse had benefitted from his first two runs in Kimberley and in his opinion this gelding was better suited racing without blinkers and a tongue tie. He has agreed where possible to race this horse in a similar manner in future. LA TOURELLE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: MANOUCHE - not striding out left front.
