TIG ADMINISTRATION MR 72 HANDICAP (Open)

The start of this Race was delayed due to the late scratching of AZA ARROW by the course Veterinary Surgeon. ALI BON DUBAI lost two lengths. AMERICAN TIGER was slow into stride. Jockey Delpech, the rider of AMERICAN TIGER, and Jockey Maujean, the rider of MAMBO STAR, reported that their mounts did not stride out freely in running. At approximately the 150m, YER-MAAN had to steady momentarily when running onto the heels of HYPOTHERMIC. When questioned regarding his riding of YER-MAAN, Jockey Zackey explained to the Board that this gelding resented the use of the crop and preferred to be ridden with the hands. He further explained that he had attempted to make his run on the inside running rail but had to switch out to obtain a clear run, but when doing so, had run onto the heels of HYPOTHERMIC and had to ease. After this, he had continued to ride this gelding with the hands to the end of the race. The Board has adjourned to give this ride further consideration. DAYTONA CHARGER and GRASSHOPPER cast their left front shoes in running. ALI BON DUBAI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: AMERICAN TIGER - not striding out both front. MAMBO STAR - examined post race nothing obvious detected. Scratched: AZA ARROW - lame left front. KEEP ON FLYING - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
