Jockey Murray did not ride at today's racemeeting (medically indisposed). He was replaced on his mounts. DURBAN BOURBON proved unruly in the stalls, injuring itself and was subsequently scratched by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. TRUTH OF BEAUTY jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. DURBAN BOURBON was unruly in the stalls injuring itself. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Workrider Matsoele reported that SKYKAT changed stride continually in running. In view of the Starter's report with regard to DURBAN BOURBON, this filly was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. DURBAN BOURBON may not be presented for repassing during this period. Workrider Mongqawa was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he used his crop with excessive frequency whilst riding the horse AMAJORY. Workrider Mongqawa signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in two Workrider races. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the severity of the crop use. POWER OF LOVE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Workrider Semela was charged with a contravention in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse SKYKAT, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which necessitated a change of rider. Workrider Semela signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one Workrider race. MANEATER raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: TRUTH AND BEAUTY - mouth injury. SKYKAT - not striding out left front and fatigued. GALU BEACH - blowing heavily post race. Scratched: AMORETTA - Ineligible, winner Turffontein Racecourse 14 September 2017. MIRACLE AT DAW - Ineligible, winner Flamingo Park Racecourse 18 September 2017. DURBAN BOURBON - injured in stalls.
