BEAUTIFUL GIRL, ICHKERIA, GIMME NOW, ME MYSELF AND I and STREAMING were slow into stride. Leaving the 800 metre mark, BEAUTIFUL GIRL took an awkward stride and thereafter Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with this mare in the running. Jockey Gould reported that GIMME NOW took no interest in the running and he did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. Jockey Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with SANTA MONICA in the running and he did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with ICHKERIA in the running and he did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. Apprentice Juglall reported that he felt something amiss with STREAMING in the running and he did not persevere with his ride entering the home straight. ZAIDA was hanging inward over the final 300 metres. OASIS QUEEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: GIMME NOW and STREAMING - not striding out in front. BEAUTIFUL GIRL - not striding out. SANTA MONICA - blood in mouth, not striding out. ZAIDA - not striding out left front. ICHKERIA - coughed post race, not striding out in front. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and conformed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
