The start of this Race was delayed due to AL'S BELLS and TOO FREE TOO being removed from the starting stalls to be examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. OO FREE TOO was fractious in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was scratched. AL'S BELLS was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was declared fit to race. SWIFT MOVE, LAAT LAMMETJIE (AUS) and ROY'S RIVIERA (AUS) were slow into stride. ROY'S RIVIERA (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Approaching the 300 metre mark, ROY'S RIVIERA (AUS) attempted and improved into a tight gap on the outside of ON THE BOUNCE, and was awkwardly placed. Thereafter ON THE BOUNCE shifted out slightly carrying ROY'S RIVIERA (AUS) outwards, resulting in ROY'S RIVIERA (AUS) making contact with TRIPPILINE and carrying TRIPPILINE outwards onto the heels of OLD OAK. TRIPPILINE then clipped the heels of OLD OAK and fell. As a result, ALESNADO, who was racing behind TRIPPILINE, made contact with the fallen TRIPPILINE and fell dislodging Jockey Wright. LAAT LAMMETJIE (AUS) was severely hampered as a result of this incident. This incident will be further reviewed by the Board. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with AL'S BELLS in the closing stages. In view of the Starter's report concerning TOO FREE TOO, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. The Ownership of LAAT LAMMETJIE (AUS) should read: Messrs B D Burnard and B Riley; and the Colours are: royal blue and white quartered, royal blue sleeves, white chevrons, royal blue cap, white peak. The Medical Officer reported Jockey Ntuli was examined after falling in the Race. Unable to continue riding and was referred to St Augustine's Hospital for observation. Vet: AL'S BELLS - not striding out left fore. ALESNADO - not striding out after fall. TRIPPILINE - degloving wound on right hind after fall. Scratched: TOO FREE TOO - injured in the stalls and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
