The start of this Race was delayed due to six banks of lights on the grandstand at the finishing post malfunctioning whilst the horses were en-route to the start. FIRE ISLAND was difficult to load. TIME TRAVEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. AIRMASTER was squeezed out shortly after the start. Jockey Jacobson reported WOLF KILLER not striding out freely in running. Jockey Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with ROYAL BODYGUARD and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. Jockey Veale, the rider of CAPTAIN MOSS, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 350 metre mark. AWESOME ANGEL ONE over-raced in the early stages and as a result carried NOBLE DUKE outwards at approximately the 1100 metre mark. Vet: WOLF KILLER - nothing obvious detected. ROYAL BODYGUARD - lame right fore.
