SOARING HIGH was slow into stride. Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with SOARING HIGH in running. Shortly before the finish line, WELLSPRING, which ducked out sharply, and CEDRUS LIBANI, which rolled in, came together and bumped. As a consequence of this, both Jockeys were unable to ride their mounts out to the end of the race. MISSOURI and FLYING FREE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SOARING HIGH - examined post race, no significant findings. SEATTLE SEAHAWK - abnormal respiratory noise.
