CAPE QUARTER jumped awkwardly, carried BOBBY DAZZLER, WAITINGFORTONIGHT and GREENFLASHSUNSET outwards. Jockey Andrews reported that WATINGFORTONIGHT changed stride continually in running. HEREFORD over-raced, difficult to settle and raced wide on the bend. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. In view of the performance from TRUE WORDS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. BOBBY DAZZLER was cramped for galloping room between GREENFLASHSUNSET and BENFONTEIN when BENFONTEIN shifted out away from the heels of TRUE WORDS, which rolled out at about the 450m. GREENFLASHSUNSET, which was hanging in, shifted inwards, resulting in BENFONTEIN becoming cramped for galloping room and was eased at about the 350m. AVIEMORE was baulked for a clear run at about the 300m. In the closing stages, GREENFLASHSUNSET shifted out and made contact with BOBBY DAZZLER. Jockey Fayd'Herbe, the rider of GREENFLASHSUNSET, appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mount on a straight course in future. BOBBY DAZZLER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TRUE WORDS and WAITINGFORTONIGHT - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. HEREFORD - returned not striding out.
