THE STARTER REPORTED / A) FOR LUCK SAKE was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) This race was run in torrential rain, the Clerk of Scales reported that all Riders returned between 1.5 kg and 2kg over the weight at which they were weighed out due to the weather conditions. B) When questioned regarding his riding of BASILICA SANTO (C Maujean) between the 100m and the 50m. Jockey C Maujean told the Stewards that his vision had been impaired due to the heavy rain and that he had to remove his goggles with his left hand during this part of the race so that he could see whether he had clear running. The Stewards accepted his explanation which was borne out by the patrol video. C) Trainer J H Strydom was advised to report back on the condition of TRAP QUEEN upon return to the stables. D) The winner FOR LUCK SAKE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer E Kaknis advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) HECTOR HEATHCOTE Apprentice L J Ferraris replaced Jockey L Hewitson (07:23 - 09/10/2020). B) STRANGER DANGER raced equipped with a tongue tie (07:08 - 09/10/2020).
