THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOLD ALLURE (C Murray) was restless in the stalls. b) MIDNIGHT CALLER (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 900m, COSMIC CONTROL (B Nyawo) was carried out by EMERALD FLOE (R Danielson) which commenced to over race and was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of BEQUEST (*T Juglall). b) SERGEANT YORK (*L J Ferraris), which was encouraged forward and raced clear of the field, compounded from the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the performance of BOLD ALLURE (C Murray), (distance 4,50 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) BEQUEST (*T Juglall), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird advised (RH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LIGHT WARRIOR was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claimed a 4kg allowance (declared 7 October 2020 at 15H34). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) EMERALD FLOE raced with a tongue tie on (declared 8 October 2020 at 08H44). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SERGEANT YORK not striding out right hind. b) BOLD ALLURE examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
