NORTHERN STORM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Naidoo was questioned regarding the improved performance of NORTHERN STORM, was compared to this filly's previous run on the 20.8.2017. On that occasion Mr Naidoo stated that this filly had over-raced to the front and had compounded in the latter stages. Today this filly raced with cover as per the norm and this had accounted for the improved performance. Mr Naidoo was advised to continue racing this filly in a similar manner in future. MISS MILLIONAIRE squeezed out shortly after the start. LAVENDER BANK raced wide on the bend. ROYAL KAITRINA was hanging out in the straight. In view of the performances of QUEENS DIAMOND and DAMALI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Vet: QUEENS DIAMOND - nothing obvious detected. DAMALI - lame right hind. Scratched: LA SUERTE DE MATAR - elevated temperature.
