HIGH DEFINITION was nervous in the stalls. JUST TOO EARLY was nervous in the stalls, slow way and lost 1 length. BAH and ROMEO BRAVO were slow away and lost 1 length each. Leaving the 200 metre mark, GIZMO was carried inward by MR JAY, which was hanging inward. BRAVE NATION was momentarily baulked for a clear run leaving the 300 metre mark. BAH was baulked for a clear run in the closing stages. AWAIT THE DAY raced wide on the bend and into the home straight. SCRIBO shifted inward away from the crop leaving the 400 metre mark. The crop of Jockey Penny, the rider of IMPRESSIONIST, was accidentally struck from his hand at the 150 metre mark. Jockey Ndlovu reported that REEVAS QUEEN coughed in the running. SILVER BLADE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. REEVAS QUEEN raced with alumites in front unshod behind. Vet: REEVAS QUEEN - coughed post race. Scratched: REVEREND - deceased. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and conformed to the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
