DAYONAUT jumped awkwardly outwards. DREAMING BIG was slow into stride. In view of the performance from MAX POWER, which raced wide on the bend, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. JOINERS ARMS raced wide on the bend and was hanging in, in the straight. DAYONAUT was held up for a clear run and was awkwardly placed on the heels of TROJAN QUEST between the 600 and 500m and then was hanging in, in the latter stages. Jockey Khathi was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline 1 on overweight, in that he weighed back in at 56,4kg, 1kg in excess of the weight at which he was declared out (55kg). Jockey Khathi signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. GADGET MAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MAX POWER - returned blowing. TROJAN QUEST - and SAINT DONAN - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: WAITINGFORTONIGHT - lame on the right fore. ASTRAPI - not eating up. AVIEMORE - coughing.
