Races 4 & 5 distance changed from 2000m to 1950m. Jockey Danielson (medically indisposed) and Jockey Khan (medically indisposed) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. HAPPY MATADOR was slow, losing 1 length. GOOD EMPEROR was hanging in badly in the straight, proving difficult to assist. As a consequence of this, Jockey Strydom was unable to fully assist GOOD EMPEROR to the finish line. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. HAPPY MATADOR raced green and proved difficult to assist throughout. SEVENTH SON raced wide into the straight and thereafter commenced to hang in. ALSHIBAA shifted both ways away from the crop from the 250m. ALSHIBAA (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DELTA KNIGHT and SEVENTH SON raced equipped with a tongue tie. HAPPY MATADOR raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: GOOD EMPEROR - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. ROYAL RESOLUTION - blowing heavily post race. Scratched: FESTIVE LINNGARI - coughing.
