FLANDERS commenced to over-race in the early stages and therefore the saddle slipped forwards severely at approximately the 1200 metre mark and therefore made it very difficult for Jockey Chambers to assist his mount thereafter Jockey Herholdt, the rider of NIGHT OF SPEED, reported this colt never raised a gallop. PEGGSON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PEGGSON raced with alumites on. Vet: NIGHT OF SPEED - was examined post race, nothing untoward found.
