The off time was rescheduled due to the delay in Race 7. FLYING RYAN was withdrawn for being intractable. SPECTRA FORCE jumped outwards and carried ORAKAL, IN THE JUNGLE and MR LOVER BOY outwards. PERGOLA stumbled leaving the stalls. The starting gates had to be realigned causing a delay. In view of the above report from the Starter concerning FLYING RYAN, Trainer Puller will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and is required to be passed tractable on a race day with a companion. Apprentice Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with SPECTRA FORCE and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. BLIND SPOT pulled hard in the early stages. The saddle on SUNDAY FALLS slipped back in running. Apprentice Burke lost his right side stirrup iron when PERGOLA stumbled leaving the starting stalls. This resulted in PERGOLA racing freely to the front of the field, and wide on the bend, while Apprentice Burke attempted to regain his stirrup iron, which he only regained at the 700m. At the 200m SUPER STRATUM (AUS) had to ease off the heels of IN THE JUNGLE, which was carried in by MR LOVER BOY. LIQUID DYNAMITE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SUPER STRATUM (AUS) raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: SPECTRA FORCE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: BEN-HUR - elevated temperature. KING OF ACES - swollen legs. SILVA'S BULLET - sprained right fore joint. CREAM SODA GREEN - swollen joint. FLYING RYAN - intractable at the start. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
