SEA LORD and NIGHT AIR were slow into stride. Jockey Delpech reported that TREMENDOUS never travelled in the running and in view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In the concluding stages, BEFORE NOON, which shifted in away from the crop, was carried out marginally by ORSON, which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. ORSON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding the improved performance of ORSON, Trainer Gray explained to the Board that in this geldings run on the 17th of October, he had pulled hard early and had faded badly. In tonight's race, he was more settled, had raced more relaxed, and in his opinion, this had accounted for the improvement. Vet: TREMENDOUS - examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
