The start of the 2nd Race was delayed to allow for a wet patch which had formed at the 500 metre mark following the watering of the track, to be harrowed before the start could be effected. COLD PLAY lost 2 lengths. MARIINSKY was stubborn to load. Lost 1 length. Trainer Roberts advised to re-school this gelding. MAMBO ROCK was very stubborn and difficult to load. Lost 1 length. LUCKY VEIL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TEDDY BEAR raced green and raced wide on the latter part of the bend. CAPTAIN COBALT and FIRST CRUSADE both shifted out in the early part of the straight. Thereafter FIRST CRUSADE was baulked for a clear run from the 250 metre mark to the 150 metre mark. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward regarding this incident and having viewed the patrol videos from the various angles took no further action. In view of the Starter's Report concerning MAMBO ROCK, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. SECRET MESSENGER raced fitted with steels. FULLFILL MY DREAM raced fitted with ear muffs. HOMETOWN HERO is a gelding and not a colt as carded. The Medical officer reported that Jockey Delpech stood down with dehydration.
